Quantity Surveyor – Electrical Services



The Company:



The company is a successful multi-disciplinary major engineering consultancy with a group of outstanding people. It has expanded over the years and now has the largest Construction Site Services division in the UK. The Building Services Division operates independently with its own management structure and operatives and management team have many years experience of a diverse range of projects throughout the UK. Over the years, many landmark high profile projects have been completed, thanks to the loyal clients who continue to trust their projects to the company.





The Role:



As a Quantity Surveyor you will be compiling budgets, dealing with procurement of sub contractors, liaising with clients, and managing financial issues. Quantity Surveyor duties also include preparing and agreeing valuations and finalising sub contract accounts.



Accountabilities:



· Preparation of applications for payment

· Dealing with contractual queries and difficulties

· Responding to contractual letters

· Chasing payment within terms of contract

· Negotiate agreement of final account

· Prepare and submit contractual claims

· Pursue aged debts





The Person:



The successful candidate will ideally be chartered, possess good interpersonal skills, be proactive and enthusiastic individual and have good management skills.



Desirable skills and knowledge:



· Experience of working within a contracting/subcontracting environment

· Previous relevant experience essential, ideally in the Construction industry

· Electrical background would be extremely useful

· Must be mobile and have use of own vehicle

· Must be prepared to visit sites on occasion

· Would consider qualification by experience
